James “Gentleman Jim” Corbett was a boxer who became the World Heavyweight Champion when he defeated John L. Sullivan in 1892. He is perhaps best known for his epic 61-round bout against Peter “The Black Prince” Jackson in 1891.

When his boxing career was over, Corbett became a popular vaudeville and film actor.

This 74-minute documentary of James J. Corbett’s life is narrated by Liam Neeson.

You can read more about Corbett and Jackson in a post I wrote. It includes a quotation by Corbett that has become one of my favorites.
